Random title haha...coz the weather's crazy nowadays.
If life gives you lemons, make lemonades--And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years---Do not take life too seriously;you will never get out of it alive--To love and win is the best thing. To love and lose, the next best--Variety is the spice of life--Life doesn't require that we be the best, only that we try our best--Life's problems wouldn't be called "hurdles" if there wasn't a way to get over them--Life has no limitations, except the ones you make.

Today went to Parkway Parade with my mum..the usual shopping around. But guess what, I saw Daniel! Haha. He came to tap on my bag at Borders, told me he was meeting his friend, then went off shortly after that. Then after that we went Isetan..and I saw him and his friend. Me and my mum went Giant, and turning a corner at the wine area, I saw him and his friend again. Haha. Hmm..Daniel have u been stalking me? Lol.
This one's like Sauron's eye in LOTR lol!
Ok this time is a short one only..coz nth much to blog about. Good night!
Hi guys..I'm back! Finally over and done with A levels whoo! Haha. Duno if I did ok or not, but I did my best...so the rest is up to those cambridge markers spending winter marking our papers.
The second day was internal competition. I wanted to help with the presiding actually, but by the time I reached there they were ending already =_= Ok I probably went too late haha. We free-fenced after dinner...Gerald came back to fence too! But that was all of the sabre grads..our graduated juniors were also mia haha.
I stayed the night there...not sleeping, but going out for supper with the rest and then playing cards. Only had 2h of sleep...even I amaze myself. Anyway, Crystal told me the next day that the previous night she tried calling me, but I didn't receive any call. She even told me I msged her. Then after much confusion, we realized that she called my old phone no. which is currently being used by my bro, and it was him who replied Crystal with a "who are u?" sms. And we thought it was some supernatural force at work.
Last day always ends with the external comp and this time other than Tanglin, MJC ppl came too--4 lady sabreurs only though haha. Coach didn't want unfair advantage, so instead of having me and Eve in one team, he split us up..and we met in semi-finals. How nice. And as always in internal comps, I lost to her again. Maybe I was too gan chiong..and too tired I guess.
This time's camp wasn't as fun as the previous ones...maybe coz there was too much free time. I stilll rmb for my batch, there was a time limit for our showers haha. Then Mr Neo will 'tekan' one or more levels coz we didn't clean up something properly, or took too long to fall in, or one person did smth stupid and sabo-ed the whole level. Haha. Wadever it is, he'll surely find a reason to teach us things the hard way.
Ok time for some other updates...my mum brought me and my bro to the Biennale last sunday. Quite interesting..even though I'm dun really know how to appreciate art haha. But it's really fun trying to figure out what the artist is trying to convey thru the art work. Got some pics!! The rest are in the video cam..which I'm too lazy to upload haha.
This swing's actually swingin...I din take a video coz it looks creepier this way haha.
My mum's masterpiece--Chocolate meets coffee.
Ferrari spiker. Cool car...I had to wait for a mother to take a pic of her sons with the car before i could get a shot of this.
Ok gtg! Tata!

Lyn's blog is currently dead and unable to be revived. Please wait for the period of A levels to be over to see some signs of life.
LOL.
This is a rather plain skin haha. But I havent got the time to design one or look for one that I like. Guess I'm too choosy. Sorry about the crampness haha..will do smth abt it next time. After I learn how to edit the html.
Ok tmr's the last day of prelims!! Haha. 2 more papers left--and they're both MCQ papers...spaced 5 hours apart -_- Think I'm just gona go home first then return to school in the afternoon. After that will be relax relax relax lol. For a while ba..then back to mugging for As again. But I love my post prelims timetable!! Shiok..finish early almost everyday. My earliest time before the prelims was like..3pm? And some people end lessons at 11.40 (but the gate only opens at 12.30 which I dun understand why actually). Hahaha..nvm finally I get my turn to end school early whohoo! Lol ok I'm getting high probably coz I've never gotten a good timetable since J1. And the fact that rest is coming. Haha.
It wasn't all studying for me during this period. I duno how anyone can do that haha. My butt'll cramp and my back will creak man.
Then made some tian tang coz I usually get heaty during exam periods. STRESSSSS. This jelly-like thing's called pong da hai, and it's amazing watching them expand from the size of a 10 cent coin to this.
Other than domestic chores, I went swimming with my mum and bro too!
Mr Cool
Oops..candid shot! Haha. My mum wasn't ready for the camera. But it was the only pic which she did look at the camera.
I've been asking people what they'll want to do after A's, coz I'm bound to be temporarily lost, with so much free time suddenly. Most of them said they'll work. And I guess that's wad I'm gona do also, earn some money and not keep asking for pocket money from my parents. But first, I'm gona play till I'm exhuasted first. Haha.
Hey guys..havent been online for quite some time..well glad to say that prelims are almost over. 3 more papers! When the results are back it'll be another nightmare haha.
At first I thought it was some paper model coz it looked so flat from the side, then I realised it's not -_-
Then after shopping, we decided to walk to Eunos mrt station. Yup, from marine parade. The last time we did it, we took about half an hour. This time, we took an hour plus, coz along the way we stopped at:
- Cold Storage (coz Guardian was inside)
- Guardian (coz my mum wanted panadol)
- 7-11(to get her panadol, coz for duno wad reason she didn't get it at Guardian)
- Obolo (we saw some advert along the way and I decided to check it out)
- NTUC Express (coz I was thristy)
Can't get the pics for the cakes at Obolo, so go to this website if u're interested =) http://www.obolo.com.sg/ The cakes are really expensive, but we didn't eat there. I just wanted to see wad they're like haha.
Then I saw this; it was next to Obolo. The translation's funny lol.
We saw this expensive-looking taxi too, parked beside a coffee shop. A Chrysler seh..the meter starts ticking from 5 bucks.
See how troublesome it is to go shopping with women? We walk everywhere haha.
The picturesque sky made good photos, so I took some. That was when we started walking to Eunos mrt.
After coming out from NTUC, the bright blue sky became this:
This was three quarters of our journey. And nope, that isn't the sun, it's the streetlamp.
About 10 minutes later, we saw the moon.
By the time we reached Eunos mrt, it was 7.30pm alrd. Dead beat when I got home haha.
Anyway, a little on my "family". These lovebirds really relish the freedom they get once in a while. And it gets pretty funny when they start doing things. Like this:
The female one only wants to fold papers, and the male one just wants to chew pieces off to decorate his feathers. Then they get into each other's way.
Ok too many things in one post..I'll update in another one.
Went to watch Walle with my mum at E!Hub on tuesday night. Yup, since I cant study much at night. Lyn ah excuses only. Haha. First time watching a night movie..but well at least it took my mind off the pile of notes, files, tys, guidebooks, wadevernots at home.
It's a must-catch movie! It's not just a robot kinda movie where all you hear is diu-diu-diu (robot speech). Walle is a really humanised robot who holds sentimental value for, uh junk. And Eve (E-va) of course. Ok shall not spoil it for those who've not watched it. Just feel that it's quite a meanful movie and makes one reflect. Very touching too. It's like a simplified version of how one falls in love haha. And if robots can hold thru that much difficulty, why not humans? Oh yeah, and can you imagine one day when humans become so reliant on technology that they do everything for you -from travelling down to brushing your teeth-that you realize that you can walk. Or dance. Or flip a book. Urk. Being so inactive makes me shuuder.
Hola! I was printing out some things for chem and checking my mail. Couldn't help but had to post this..I'm not racist though haha. This is hilarious!

Muthu: 'It's simple. I will just stop my imagination.'
Hey guys! I'm back! Haha.
It's been a pretty fast Term 3. 9 weeks gone just like that and just 2 more weeks to prelims, but luckily that 2 weeks dun have to be spent waking up at 5.45am and staying 7 or more hours at school. Shoot..must be studying too much maths so many numericals appearing lol.
Soooo much has happened since I last blogged. I'll just talk about a few significant things ba, since with my kind of memory I doubt I'll be able to rmb much also.
Staff Day Celebrations
CG 15/07 had teachers' day celebrations at the marquee on Wed at lunchtime, and we ordered pizzas! Talk about S'pore's kiasuism...we wanted to order in the morning at 7+am in case the pizzas couldn't come on time, only to realise that the pizza place only opens at 10.30am =_=
It was nothing fanciful, just a way of thanking Mr Ng for being there for our class and helping us so much. Chun Han and Yu Bing brought mats, so we had a picnic-style lunch. But the mats couldn't fit everyone, so some of us had to stand. After that, some of us decided play 'pepsi cola', and I couldn't have missed out on the fun. I was reminded of the time back in primary school when we used to do that during some recesses. The thrill of trying to avoid getting stepped by others, then 'finishing' others off. Haha.
It was also 'Be-yourself-day', where each class has to come out with $20 which'll go to the President Challenge fund. It's optional, and our class was one of the 2 or 3 J2 classes which participated? Lol. And we thought we got the day to dress up on wrong. Then we came up with a sub-theme of "Black and/or white" under the main theme of "Party!" It was quite cool actually, witth the whole class mianly in these 2 colours only. Photos will be up when my class uploads them haha.
National Day Fireworks Display
Would you believe if I said this year was the first time I've witnessed fireworks up close? Probably not haha. I've missed my Primary 5 one coz I had fever. Even my 73-year-old grandma has watched live fireworks display before lo. So I decided to go to Raffles this year to catch the show. Too bad reached there late or else could have gotten a better view from the riverside, but anyway, it was magnificent! That's the naive response from a mountain tortoise who sees fireworks for the first time in her life. But really, the explosion of colours, and even the thunderous booms which reverberates in the heart was really worth the standing there. Besides, the company was great too!
Random stuff
My sony phone spoilt, and after sending it for repair, they called up and said it was beyond repair. That's why also no pics =( So I guess I'll be getting a new plan and phone. Any recommendations?
My bro, mum and dad were watching Red Cliff which my mum rented, and the ending of the show was abrupt. Then they realised it wasn't the whole movie; only part of it was out on VCD they watched. Now they gota wait for the next part to come out. 浪费精神 was what my dad said lol.
陶喆's songs are actually quite nice! I was listening to some just now.
Had 2 really weird dreams (ok dreams forever dun make sense, so they are weird) in a month. Correlation between dreams and stress? Haha.
Cool! I just discovered that by pressing the ctrl key, some circle will come out at the point where your mouse is!
Ok it'll probably be a long time before I blog another time, so to those who are having holidays now, enjoy the 2 months! Haha. I'm so envious. To peepz who's got over what they've been mulling over about, I'm glad for you. To her who's found her happiness, cherish it but dun worry so much! To 15/07 and my other JC frens, work hard and jia you for prelims/promos! To the one who doubles my joys and halves the sorrows, thank you!
Hey guys...just back for some quick update. Seems like this blog's dead when I'm not around haha.
I came back from FSI with a bronze for senior team and silver for juniors team! The medal from the open wasn't as satisfying as the one from juniors, even though we got to fence the Koreans for open. I guess it's partly fear that we lost so badly..and wad's the use of reflecting now and saying I should have done this or that? Like Eve said, on the piste, we only have that 5 points to think about wad we can do, and I guess the rest is up to your reflex and quick thinking.
On the other hand, I had a hell of a time for juniors. Lol. Never in my 5-reaching-6 years of fencing life have I shouted so much. For some, it may even be the first time they heard my voice during a bout haha. Sure it feels really good to shout for every point you get, but it's quite exhausting too..by the time we got into finals, the tiredness was setting in. Of course, it was probably also the insufficient sleep the night before. We were playing dai di and slap jack at midnight in the room we stayed over at NTU? The night before our competition somemore haha. Then again, it was probably the adrenaline that kept me going. The fire, the will to win, the triumph...everything packed into that 15 points you fence for your team. What's so sastifying was that we won the Hong Kong team which had the left-hander I lost to in top 16 for indiv, the one which we didn't think we could win. Now I know that nothing's impossible. We lost to the nat team though...nvm, there's always another time when we can prove ourselves.
That 2 days had been great..although I didn't make as many new friends as Eve, Bryce or Naz, who were like on the top of the world coz they exchanged contacts with some friends from Hong Kong. Ahem. Haha.
Now it's back to schoolwork again. 5 more weeks left in school before prelims! J2 life will be over very soon..I can't wait! Haha. But first, there's A levels to conquer! I better start picking up the pace soon... Ok this is getting boring..I know I can see you yawning. Lol. Will update again if I have time. Tata!
Well..it's a day before FSI team event for me. Not that I'm scared, just a little excited since there might be a chance of being up against top Asian fencers. Good experience haha. I know..it's kinda near my prelims and I really should be gearing up for revision, not spending so much time on fencing anymore, but fencing has been like a part of my life ever since Sec1, and I dun think I've ever taken a very long break from it before. The longest was 3 months? (with occasional trainings I think..or not. Can't rmb) Asking me to stop is like taking food from a person...still can survive, but not for long haha. Ok not that serious. It's really good exercise, and a revenue for destressing. I'd love to go back once a week still just to free-fence after this FSI, but I doubt I'd have the time. Hmm...see how it goes.
Why does work always come in humongous truckloads whenever you have the least time to do it? It's like they know I wun be in school next Tue and Wed coz of FSI Jrs and they choose to knock on my door and say, "Hello! Please complete me by this and this date." Great. Now I'm personifying work. Too much Lit haha.
Walking really does one good. The other day after the long lectures in school, I took a relaxing walk in the park on my way back home, and I made a friend! Ok..2 actually, but one was more friendly than the other. My good friend! Didn't think it was a cat right?
The Shy Friend
I realized that beauty is actually all around us. That sounds cliche, but it's true. Really..if you just stand still and look around you, you'll realize that there are so many beautiful things in life. And I realize that I'm really lucky actually? I've got my family, lots of good friends, a sturdy roof over my head, good food, material stuff even. Guess that walk sorta inspired me. Or rather, it brought out that part of me which laid buried under tons of work such that there wasn't really much time to appreciate life. Try it. Just take a walk at the park and dun think about work. Even 10 minutes will refresh you. Some other take-aways from the walk:
See the black streaks? Fishes at the longkang near my house...protecting their nests (circular shapes) I think? And the longkang! Actually it does hold nice scenic views.. (In case u're wondering, it's not photoshop-ed. The daylight came out funny..like too bright.)
Some other random stuff..... See..even a rainbow appears at the most mundane place. (Reflection from Junying's bottle..during GP so I had to take it quickly b4 Mdm Lim caught me with my phone haha.)
This is what crazy people with long hair do...like mother like daughter:
Anyway, I got a new pair of specs ytd! Kind of a classy look. Ok so random haha. Yesterday my bro was playing the PS2. You know that kinda wrestling games where they show your character and you can choose his pose while deciding his appearance..and yup, he was making this poor guy do funny things. (Sorry you gota watch it sideways coz I duno how to rotate it.)
Ok gota do lots of work now..duno if can complete them in time though. Hmm...just try my best. The current song playing now kept playing itself over and over again in my head ever since that time my bro let me listened to it. I knew that song, but after such a long time not listening to it, hearing it again is nice. Enjoy!
12 July morning was significant for me. Ask me if you want, but I may not tell you. Haha.
Just some update today ba. I'm fencing FSI open and FSI Juniors indiv and team! Actually didn't want to fence juniors, after the small turnout for asian schs last year, but since this year there're more people, and FS has made the price more reasonable, why not? Schoolwork is another problem, but I guess I'll cope. Somehow. My results quite 'pretty'..some haven't got back yet though, so maybe still got some hope haha.
Ok maybe not so funny..but a little weird.
Then the little lovebirds at home are my family's laughter medicine. This is dedicated to them:
Peek-a-boo!
The Bird
Acrobatics
So you think you're at the top of the world eh?
And having little quarrels that are actually a microcosm of what me and my bro always do.
Ok that's all! Videos take so long to load..if not I would've uploaded more. Anyway time for me to sleep too. Hah see someone say I always *doze off early..I've proven you wrong. Hahaha.
